Its Easter week.<\/p>\n
Daffodils wave their bright bonnets in the cold March wind.\u00a0 Lively, early birds sing to trumpet a season soon to arrive. \u00a0And we wait on this Good Friday for Promises yet unseen.<\/p>\n
All of us awash with Hope.<\/p>\n
The Cross takes our breath away reminding us of not just our failures but our complete and utter inability to be enough.\u00a0 Perfect enough.\u00a0 Right enough.\u00a0 Pure enough.\u00a0\u00a0 There is no hope for self-sufficiency. No work that leads us towards redemption.\u00a0 We cannot be righteous in our own skin.\u00a0 It\u2019s not possible.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s why He did it.\u00a0 The Perfect One.\u00a0 The Righteous One.\u00a0 The Holy One.\u00a0 Because He is the only One who could.<\/p>\n
The One who is Love carried His cross and allowed Himself to be hung by our sin so that we could know\u2013<\/p>\n
–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 His perfection covers our imperfection.<\/p>\n
–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 And His sacrifice removes our sins from us.\u00a0 As far as the East is from the West.<\/p>\n
Like they never existed.<\/p>\n
Here is Hope and Life.<\/p>\n
We are not the sum of our mistakes.\u00a0 We don\u2019t have to be marked by our past.\u00a0 We have nothing to pay, nothing to earn.\u00a0 We just need to believe <\/span><\/em><\/strong>\u2013 that His sacrifice was enough for anything we have done or will do. \u00a0\u00a0And then we live <\/span><\/em><\/strong>a new Life in that Love, with Hope and glorious Peace.<\/p>\n It was darkest hour of man\u2019s creation when He took our place as payment for sins on the cross.\u00a0 But it was the brightest of mornings when the hand of God brought Life out of a tomb.<\/p>\n He\u2019s still in the resurrecting business.\u00a0 For the lost soul, the wounded heart, and the broken life.<\/p>\n It\u2019s Easter Week.
